The Kauravas and the Pandavas are closely related. They also have mutual family members and friends who fight both sides to be the best. Arjuna is astonished by all his old friends and fellow soldiers from the opposing side, is heartbroken and decides to not participate in a war that could result in their deaths and numerous others. The conversation between the god and the prince about the right way to act, understanding and finally, the meaning of life, is what is the remainder of the story.
